Hiwassee River
Old Town Decatur, TN

The Hiwassee River is right at our doorstep! The Hiwassee River Blueway offers 55 miles of adventure in Southeast Tennessee. Extending from the Appalachia Dam near the border of North Carolina to the Tennessee River at Blythe’s Ferry in Birchwood, the wide river is well known for its water-based recreational opportunities including tubing, kayaking, rafting, and fishing.

Decatur is in the heart of Meigs County, TN. The historic downtown center is a quaint place to spend an afternoon walking around the town. There are also countless recreational activities for all to enjoy!

Blythe Ferry Cherokee Removal Park

​The Blythe Ferry Cherokee Removal Memorial Park is a multipurpose facility dedicated to those that died and those that cried in what has become known as the "Trail of Tears". The park includes an educational visitors center, History Wall, Memorial Wall, a Removal Routes Ampitheater, the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge, walking trails, and boating and fishing facilities,

The Lost Sea Adventure

​The Lost Sea is America’s largest underground lake and Registered National Landmark located in beautiful Sweetwater, Tennessee. You will love the General Store, Ice Cream Parlor, Gem Mine and Glassblower. Our cafe, the Cavern Kitchen, offers sandwiches and real pit barbeque to hungry visitors. Ample picnic facilities and a nature trail are also available.

Cleveland, TN is just a short drive and has all the main shops and restaurants of the big city.
